Selected for the 17th Santoni Pioneer Program, this project was developed using Santoni’s seamless circular knitting machines. It explores the sustainable and versatile nature of circular knitting through a reversible, playful tennis-themed sportswear collection.
The idea was inspired by the natural tubular form of circular knits and the process of flipping the fabric inside out — resulting in knitwear and accessories with reversible sides featuring different designs.
The color and design draw from the contrast between the softness and femininity of tennis skirts and the strength and power of the athletes who wear them. Influenced by female superheroes and the bold neon colors of vintage comics, the designs reimagine functional tennis wear as modern “superpower suits.”
